2025: Lace re-BORN-em °2025

This International Lace Exhibition from 16.08.2025 to 19.10.2025 offers a fresh and surprising take on the tradition of lace. Artists from various diciplines have used their creativity to combine the delicate materials and techniques of the past with modern artistic concepts. Anke’s broken doll’s head has been repaired with delicate lacework, as a hopeful symbol of the connecting and healing resilience that humans, as vulnerable beings, can find to cope with trauma.

2023: Foldable Folies

The selected hats of the international Hat’s Competition from the Dutch Hat’s Association in the theme “Foldable Folies” will be displayed from October 24th, to November 12th 2023 in the temporary exhibition in the Kantfabriek, Amerikaanseweg 8, 5961 GP Horst, The Netherlands. The hat from Anke is called “Cascade”, a cloche hat in felt and leather that can be worn in different “trapped” ways.

2023: 14ème Rencontres Internationales des Arts du Chapeau

The selected hats of the international Hat’s Art Competition in the theme “Renewal” will be displayed from May 27th, to October 22nd, 2023 in the temporary exhibition hall of the Hat Museum in Chazelles-sur-Lyon in France. The hat on display from Anke is “Like lava”, a chapka of upcycled astrakhan fur representing the renewing effect of lava: everything gets a chance to start anew. It creates fertile ground and is therefore a symbol of renewal and transformation.

2023: International Millinery exhibition

The international millinery exhibition OVER THE TOP can be visited from March 7th to April 23rd 2023 at the Centre d’Artesania in Barcelona. The hat on display from Anke is “Topsy-turvy”, an upside-down magician’s hat with white rabbit hidden in it
